Late registration deadline: 31st January 2023
More Categories, Ribbons, Titles and Special Awards than ever before
Since the latest ETC®, we have discussed many issues our experienced Advisory Board. As a result, we have added two new categories and made some improvements in the ‘Rules & Regulation’.
We have two brand new categories, HABITAT and ROEDEER HEAD, where the participants can win attractive titles. Just imagine winning the title “Best of Novice Division*, “Best of Professional Division”, or even “Best in Europe” in the ROEDEER HEAD Category…
Or to win one of the prestigious tree titles in the HABITAT Category: ‘Best of Open Division’, ‘Best of Master & Collective Division’ or ‘Best in Europe’ (you can register the habitat separately for judging for all your entries).
In a box: 204 Place ribbons and 19 Special Award ribbons to give out to the competitors. That’s a new record!!
Important changes in the ‘Rules & Regulations’.
Some of the significant changes in the ‘Rules & Regulations” is that the ‘Master Division, ‘Professional Division’ and ‘Novice Division’ will be judged from the same set of criteria and judged equally, which means that the points given by the judging team are comparable through the different Divisions. Another new rule is that entries that have provided photographic documentation of the working process and are deemed as exceptional work can be promoted to a higher Division than the original entered at the judges’ discretion. Check out the complete ‘Rules & Regulations’ at our website www.eurotaxidermy.eu/rules-regulations
Introduction of “The ETC® Wildlife Taxidermy Foundation”
To get more attention, admiration and monetary support from the general public about the taxidermy profession, we have established the “ETC® Wildlife Taxidermy Foundation”. Society needs skilled taxidermists that can preserve extinct or almost extinct species in the wild in a way they looked like when alive. We owe this to future generations. The ETC® Wildlife Taxidermy Foundation supports the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (AÈAZ) members in their efforts to preserve the most endangered wildlife species for future generations through ‘state-of-the-art’ taxidermy. ETC® is providing sourcing, selection, and funding of Awarded taxidermists for this critical work. At the ETC® 2023 2 well known taxidermists will perform show-taxidermy work for 2 almost extinct species, and we invite the media to cover this “event-in-the-event”. See you in Salzburg – as a competitor or a visitor, the ETC® is a truly international show.
Please come learn, compete, have fun, and meet ‘old’ and new friends from all over the world in the taxidermy community. Last time we had competitors from 35 different countries, and we hope to make a new record.
NB: Don’t miss out the ‘Get Together Party’ and ‘Awards Banquet Dinner’ – it will be fun!!!
And always remember: winning is not the most important about the ETC®. The main goal of the ETC® Championships is education, improving our work and quality, and, not least, being able to present our beautiful art to a large audience.
Let’s have a fantastic show!!
Truly yours,
The ETC® Team
